When installing the Yosh r 55 full exhaust, do I need the wheel stands for the front/back wheels? Thanks..

Nope.

You can do that with the bike on its own kickstand.

how valuable are wheel stands? my local shop is selling em 85 each or 125 for both front and rear and was wondering if they were worth it since my dad sold his bike lift.

That seems like a good price... I just spent $70 for a rear stand that was usually $100. It had a few scratches on it and I got the shop to discount it... The front ones are more expensive. You have a good deal there.

I only have a rear stand at this time and plan on getting a front in the next few days.

Yes they a VERY valuable. You can do a lot of different maintenance things with it on the stands. You can store the bike in the off season on them. Plus its a lot easier to clean the bike when its not leaned over to one side.

I Wouldn't Buy Any Cheap Stands Stick With The Best Pitbull Stands.. Holds The Bike Sturdy , Unlike The The Other Stands...easy To Use...should Look Into It, Though A Bit On The Expensive Side But Well Worth It..

I bought a rear stand a month ago and still havnt used it. The spools I bought were to small and my stand is to wide. I dont like big spools stickin out but I guess I'll have to bite the bullet. I thought about cutting and welding my stand. F That!!

+1 on the Vortex. I'd go either Vortex or Pitbull. Solid stands.

I thought about buying one my self. So i decided to make me one. It took about 2 hours make. I used some heavy gate corners and some pipe. I also used some wheels off some casters. I works great. I ended up spending about 35 bucks.

dont skimp on stands... I have a pitbull stand, and a cheesy cheap stand that my second bike came with. There's a reason pitbulls cost as much as they do. they are superb quality. probably at least twice as thick as those cheap ones. Easier to use, alot more sturdy.

These work a treat

Then just use a small trolley jack under the engine to lift the front up

I have pitbull stands and have never had a problem the Newfront stand with the triple tree pin makes front wheel access very easy. I have also heard good things about the Vortex stands.
