looks like Ill be in Hawaii at the end of april.. so im gonna need to get leaned out.. currently trying to bulk up on about 3k cals/day.. just wondering how soon i should start a cut diet .. I will only hopefully have to lose 10 lbs or so as i havent put on a terrible amount of fat. but what i do got is mostly in lower gut and some love handles http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/bash.gif

Start dropping cals. now.This will make it an easy transition,instead of waking up one day and starting cold turkey.Trust me,I've been there.
Try phasing out your last meal of the day,and go from there.I can help you a great deal with this if you need it..

i wanna try and pack on as much as i can b4 i have to cut,, im going to tighten my diet up even more now but i wanna still try and put on afew lbs b4 hand.. not planning to go until 3rd-4th week of april so that give just about 2 mos to get where i want to be... maybe start ridin the bike in the morning for 20 mins to start??

I'm in the same boat as you fiddy. I don't have a great deal of fat (I suppose around 13-15% BF) Just a little spare tire around the gut. How long does it typically take for someone to bring it down? Is it about 2 to 3 months of solid dieting? Now of course I assume everyone is different in the way they lose fat but just to get a general idea.

The last few is the toughest. It's all about diet and medium to high intensity cardio.
Usually a good calculation is losing 1-2lbs of fat a week.. Depending on how much you have to lose.. I imagine its tougher the less bf you have..
But doing cardio and cutting cals and lifting weights typically you can lose 1-2lbs.. More then 2lbs is usually burning more muscle then usually desired..
So if you want to lose 10lbs, probably about 5-6weeks before would be good..
Like you said everyone is different im sure.

ive lost nearly all the fat that i had just by workin out and watching my diet somewhat...but i tell you those fuckin love handles are stubborn...they are a lot smaller now but still there and they do not want to leave
