Im looking at a used truck, since I'm getting tired of my 1993 ford ranger manual. I cant stand the fucking thing much longer. It has no problems, its just hideous and sucks to drive.

My girlfriends sister works at a ford dealer and they just got this truck from a trade in. She actually knows the owner of this truck and their is nothing wrong with it, it was traded in for a 09 ford f-150.

They gave me a price of $9,999. Sticker is $18,995 and KBB value is $10,550.

What do you guys think?

Its a 2003 Ford ranger.
45k miles
All the options basically
Interior is perfect.
It does have aftermarket exhaust/rims

There are deals to be had out there... Remember, that is a 6 year old truck now, albeit low mileage. Just be patient and look around. I'll bet that truck sits for a WHILE before it sells... somewhere around the 8k mark. The used vehicle market is hurting right now, most people are buying new because you can get and used for about the same monthly payment, and their slingin' deals at the stealerships. Guy at work just bought a brand new Camry, 26k sticker, got it for 20k OTD AND they paid off the loan balance of $3400 on his car so he didn't have 2 payments. Can't beat that with a stick.

I cant afford a new car for that much really. I just want to get rid of my POS 1993.

I know the history of this car has my girlfriends sister knows the owner of the car and works at this dealership.

I will go to the dealer tomorrow and try to get it for 8k cash in hand :)

i know its not a ranger, but its a midsize..and the same as an s10, basically.

i bought my 2001 blazer in 2006 for $5800 with 67k miles from a used car dealer, and that was before the economy was so bad. Its got all the options (except sunroof and ZR2) and was absolutely spotless.

theres way better deals out there, try to get the price a lot lower.

oh, yeah, and your truck still runs, right? run it into the ground and then buy another beat up POS pickup for cheap. keep repeating this over and over for a wile and just have a nice bike.

If I could start over, thats what I would do.
