: Nissan 370Z?
Bagherra 01-15-2010, 05:51 PM Took the wife to the Nissan dealer the other day to look at the Maxima's. When we got there, first thing she saw was a 2010 370Z and she fell in love with it.
So i think that's what we will be getting in the next couple of months.

Sounds good. Again thanks for everything. I hurt my foot on Sunday pretty bad my brother dropped a nice big box on my left ankle while trying to lift it. Its swollen a bit so i cant ride that shit back. Any chance after it is done you can drop it off at my house? Mark knows where it is. We will talk about this later i feel bad jacking this poor guys thread already.

Caleb_Helton 02-16-2010, 01:19 AM Wish it was out when we were looking, good luck on it though.
We test drove one and it was a very nice car/ sporty.
DevilsGix6 02-23-2010, 03:10 PM My wife bought a 2009 base model in december of last year.
Great little car. The suspension is really tight as it should be for a sports car but it can be irritating if your daily driving the thing. Steering has the same firm reactive nature as the suspension, move the steering wheel an inch and the whole car flys across lanes with a twitch of the wrist. It handles corners like a chubby chaser on a friday night and sticks to the ground at all speeds. If one thing holds constant for the new Z's it's the fact that they cater to the "drift" enthuisest as well. The tight suspension and extremely well done steering allow you take every corner in a skid and feel more in control then you ever would in another car. base model comes with a lot of options like cruise control and steering wheel music controls even though it's a base I still feel like i"m sliding into the cockpit of a jet getting reading for a rapid decent manuever. Which brings me to my next point. bare bones this car doesn't have the power I would expect from a sports car that you just payed 30g's for. the 332 horsepower v-6 has an intriguing rumble but lands on the general japanese "high horsepower, low torque" model. It crawls to 6000 RPM but then screams to redline like it's trying to make up for the lost RPMS. don't get me wrong, it's quick, but it still doesn't hold a candle to my G8 GT which I bought to haul around that car seat and is humbly dubbed "thy daddy wagon".
Practicallity (sp?) goes out with window because this car is meant for one thing and one thing only: a canyon in which to look at the speed advisory signs and then double that speed. it's pure fun.
8 out of 10 in my book. but my book wasn't written to do anything in/on a motorized vehicle but have fun so there you go.
TVONE2 02-23-2010, 03:24 PM NO TURBO.....
NO GO......
END OF STORY!
I think the GTR is overated...
The last gen. TURBO 300s were the fastest...
however the motors would not stand up to too much abuse!!!! (BOOM)
the reason why they have NOT made another TURBO model...

The GTR is larger then life, talk about a fat ass.
Turbo applications are terribly problematic. The only turbo applications that have been dubbed stable are those that are used in todays semi and heavy hauling/equipment.
Take a look at any large turbo application, even the famed 2nd gen toyota supra in which has a bottom end that is supposed to withstand abuse from 1000BHP strait from the factory. they are expensive and continue to be problematic. any time you add a ton of compression before the motor does it's 2nd stroke (in a 4 stroke motor that is) your causing an instability and over charging a cylinder. Though very effective it reduces engine life as a whole.
This runs the mill for anything your attempting to modify whether naturally aspirated or force fed. if you alter the engineered platform in which the car is created you can end up with bad situations sooner rather then later.
Keep paying, keep playing.
