Ok so, I've been looking for a new truck for the past 2 months but cannot find something I want. Have a 2000 ford f-150 with a 6" lift right now and selling it.

Finally found something. Guy had it on ebay for 15,000. I offered him $13,500 cash and he accepted. Trucks about an hour away from me and I'm going to look at it Saturday. Was actually looking for something a little smaller than this but closest I found so far to what I like.

What you guys think? Worth the $13,500?

I would stay away from the 6.0 engines. I think the better 6.0 are the 05+. Go with the truck with the 7.3 liter.

If he put a 4" downpipe on it check to see if it has rubbed through the cross over pipe (my flowmaster 4" did it twice to me, swapped to Magnaflow 3.5".

Ask if the EGR cooler was changed when they fixed the EGR.

If you take it for a drive have him set the Edge to a high setting then bag it hard a few times on the road uphill if you can, stop and pop the hood, check the rad overflow for any signs of fluid on the outside or if it had any dry white crustys on the outside walk away from it (likely has a bad head gasket again or warped heads, I warped both my heads and wasn't even abusing it that bad)

Check when you fire it up if you smell oil of after you bag it you smell faint oil that goes away after, could mean a turbo seal is gone.

besides that my 6.0L has been great LOL.

A Diesel truck is overkill if your not towing heavy payloads.

Is it regeared? I just purchased an 02 f250 with the 7.3L with 37" tires. Mine does not have a programmer and is not regeared and the tires feel heavy. Doesn't slow it down much but you feel it. So I imagine it would be worst with 39"s that that one has.

I would not get an early 6.0 as stated. Late 05 and up are much better. If you have to go older, go with the 7.3 years. Much more reliable.

well they get better mileage then gas. and it has better torque, and cheaper to mod, which gets better mileage as you mod because it burns more fuel efficient.

Would not look at a truck that has a programmer on it, you know its been tested on the highest level..
