experiences you've had behind the wheel or on your bike.

Name the place, the surroundings, the weather, and make/model of the car being driven by the offender. :D

A shitty honda pulling up next to me at a stop light reving his engine trying to get me to race, with two cop cars sitting in plain sight in a nearby parking lot late at night, then continuing to try to get me to race, for the next couple miles with a cop shadowing us, while having an oz. in the car..

I had an '85 Landcruiser BJ73 back in the '90s some time. I was driving to work an early November morning and even though it was damn cold, there was no snow or anything so I kept it in RWD. I was going along on the freeway at around 70 MPH (the legal limit) and suddenly the rear started spinning and breaking to the side - before I knew it I was going sideways, then backwards.

I ended up doing 3 complete spins before I could nudge the 'Cruiser into the grass median where I could regain the grip :eek Luckily the traffic was light that early so the nearest car was maybe 300 yards behind me when I started spinning. I saw him while I was going backwards :lmao

Nothing happened at all, I didn't even touch the guardrail once I got into the grass. Just damn lucky that the black ice that caused the slide in the first place continued as far as it did - I think that if the ice patch had stopped and the 'Cruiser had suddenly gripped while sideways, it would have rolled :eek

And yes, I did take a minute to catch my breath - then had to break my fingers off the wheel so I could get out and lock the front hubs :lmao

Probably one of two times I was piloting my death machine known as the Talon.

Little 185 section tires with tiny non abs brakes

I was going into a high speed on camber sweeper...took it at about 100 mph fine...it is when the road transitioned back to straight...and crowned/offcamber. The blown dampers got upset, and I split two telephone poles(missed em by inches) and hit a farm field probably at 90 ish MPH. Other than having a shotgun fired at me I was lucky/fine

Another time I took my favorite exit around here at some "gotta be dedicated to the skinny pedal to get a little 92hp to the crank car up to that" speed. Had my lines all picked out, but the exit has two feeds into it...someone didn't yield.

Mashed all the brakes I had, and locked the rears over 100mph

Lots of donuts, needed new pants, hit...nothing.

I was really stupid when I was teaching myself how to drive

One time in traffic I was splitting lanes (permitted here in CA) and there was this guy in a 90's Thunderbird that was trying to keep up with me by swerving in and out of lanes. I stopped splitting lanes and waited in one of the lanes for him to pass, gave him a thumbs down, and kept going. Then when traffic lightened up he tried throwing something at me and yelled at me that he wanted to fight me. So I just flipped him off and sped up....no need to get in a fight with a car while on a bike.

XR250. right leg out going around a banked turn and didn't see tree at the bottom of the path. Wrapped my leg around it, broke tibia and fibia just above my fox boots. Worst part was that I was about 5 miles from home, it was 30 degrees and snowing and I had to kick start a flooded bike. Fuck it still hurts thinking about it.

Oh yeah, and they had to cut my boot off because every time they pulled I thought I was dying so I lost a $200 pair of boots

:squid alert

I am ratting myself out :lol

A few months ago I was hitting my favorite section of road out in the country side on the bike.

Usually can take them well over 100 mph and I was...full leaned over someone else in a full sized pick up truck crossed all the over into my lane.

Hit the grass leaned over, when I looked down, 110mph

Still dunno how I managed to not high side/die/become road paste.

This has been the thing that kept me off the bike for the last bit of the season, and it was probably for the better...it was a huge lesson for myself with 'if you're head isn't in the right place you have no business being on a bike'
