Strip too


This year I plan on taking the Cobalt for some track day romping, nothing competitive yet

Just wondering if anyone has any trackday stories/wrecks/pwning of random driveline parts etc from people who also like to fly around on bikes

My car likes to go fast in a straight line,it's skeered of teh corners...so I do a lot of private dragstrip rentals with it. Im stock so not too worried about breaking anything lol

One rental at MIR had a brand new Viper ACR go sideways into a BMW 335i just before the traps...OUCH! both got fucked up pretty bad. Try splaining that to the insurance company:lol

Yup,they collided right before the traps,the 335i was modded&running hi 11's,the Viper was brand new & had 6 miles on it,the best he ran was a low 11 due to tracion issues.
pix were posted but quickly yanked when they realized the consequences that may come of it....I heard thru the grapevine the Viper owner refused to offer any form of compensation to the bimmer owner&some drama ensued lol

I could only imagine, but that is the risk you take at the track I guess.
