I just moved to San Fran about 3 weeks ago to attend school and have been working out at a gym called Crunch. It's not exactly my scene. I havent tried Golds yet. But I was looking for something smaller and hopefully cheaper. Any info appreciated. Im on nob hill and I don't have my car or bike so distance is a factor. Thanks

Can't help you with that but I can say that smaller usually means more expensive.
Check out all the gold's there. We have 3 gold's here in SB and each one is unique. Downtown is full of bodybuilders and very lifting oriented and kind of dark and cavelike. Uptown is female oriented with plenty of cardio and very airy and bright. Goleta is close to UCSB and tons of college students.
I prefer the uptown one just because it's not as crowded and has more windows and feels more uplifting. Check em all out. you may find a particular one you like.

Yeah I'm into the dark dungon type of places. I'll check golds out. It's kind a long walk form where I am, better get a bus pass

Do you know about how much It cost to go there? The gym I'm at now is right down the street, 1000 Van Ness
