Hey guys/gals. I have a Epox motherboard and AMD 2500+ OCed to 2gig. Well, I got into the OCing properties tonight and managed to mess something up. The first thing I did was power off the computer, but that didn't work. Second thing was to clear the CMOS settings. That did the trick. well, I reset all of my previous settings and for some reason, everything seems to be moving faster. Am I just imagining things?

you might have been overclocking it improperly that might have been why it is faster now or something else you installed since wasn't communicating right and now it is.
Yah that would be the only reason, is the settings you had where not very optomized. Perhaps you had it Underclocked? or your Ram Settins where messed.
Clearing the Cmos Memory is not like Clearing your Temp Inet files :p It only clears the Memory, and goes to a set of Default settings. It should really have no bearing on what your Speed is like once the system is fully booted (unless your CPU Settings are totally Messed)

If the processor was running EXTREMELY hot, it could noticeably affect your performance. How high was the processor clocked and what were the temps? What were you using to benchmark your perfomance?
