Just starting to get into the supplement side of working out so I thought I would ask some questions to the experts http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Creatine: I have read the post below and a lot of info on the net. Seems to be very popular so I am going to give it a shot.

L-Glutamine: Seems to be a very benifical Amino acid produced in the body which depletes when training hard. Lots of people use this stuff. My question for this product is how much should I be taking? I have read on the net that bodybuilders take up to 10-15 grams per day http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif . On the back of the bottle it says to only take 1 with a meal. Considering I only got the pill form which is 500mg per pill, thats going to be a lot of pill eating. How much do you guys normally take?

L-Carnintine: My buddy just told me about this and I have not a single clue as to what it is or how is works. The little info I have seen is that it takes your fat and burns it more efficiently. L-carnintine is a is a amino acid that is taken from the soy protein. Have any of you guys taken this? what about doesage? Any down sides?

Thanks for any insight and info http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

I really like the L-Glutamine. It seems that my recovery is much quicker and I'm able to hit the gym more often with this stuff. I take it twice a day, in the morning, and right after working out.

Besides the L-Glutimine, I take a boat load of vitamins for various things. Off the top of my head... garlic pills, vitamin C, vitamin E, gingko-bloma (sp), vitamin A-D, and a multi-vitamin... and a few I can't remember.

Lastly, I use Pro-Score 100 chocolate whey protein. Besides that, I try and get a well balanced variety of food during the day.

I don't use Creatine because it goes against my goal of staying "cut".

I usually get the powder and mix it into my protein shake, and I take the recommended dosage on the bottle. A tablespoon. Don't know how many mg's that is though. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Creatine is good for bulking up, it does give you lots of water weight. But I've seen people use creatine and still stay cut, they just did alot of cardio.

Glutamine is one of the best amino acids out, helps with faster recovery time. About 10 grams a day is good. I mix it in my shake after my am weight workout which is like 6am, then a take another 5g after my cardio and ab workout a 6pm.

Right now I'm working on getting more deffined and cut, so I take a multi vitamin, NoX2, Glutamine, Muscle Tech MRP, and Designer shake. I'll prob do this for two or three more months then I'll start to bulk - using 1AD and Creatine.
