I used to be able to play AVI files with Windows98, and I have several bike vids that use the AVI format. Now, with WindowsXP Pro and the Windows Media Player that comes with it, it can't play the AVI files anymore and keeps trying to redirect me to the Indeo website, where they are trying to sell something that I don't wish to buy.

How can I watch my beloved bike videos in the AVI format? Does anyone know where I can get the codec? How do you guys do it?
