I started with a Ninja 250 just to learn on 3 months ago, got used to it, decided to go with an 04 r6, rode it for a couple weeks, didn't like it switched to an 09' 750, and I LOVE IT!! Even though it was snowing when I rode it home :wtf

Thanks guys for the welcome, quick question, I softened the suspension a little bit because i'm only 135lbs and 5'5. Soooooo, kinda short lol, do you think that will be a problem??

Can't help you out on that one. I'm 6'1". Welcome though. I'm a newbe as well. I started out on a Ninja 650R. Holy s-it batman is all I've got to say. My 09 750 puts a smile on my face just starting it. I cream everytime I get over 6k rpm and those secondaries kick in. If I go a whole year without a speeding ticket it will be an act of god.

Actually, I'm up in Manitoba, Canada. We had a snow dump last week, melted away, and it just started to snow again today, BUT tomorrow its 6 degrees celcius, mainly cloudy with no snow :biggrin. I know you guys are thinking wtf...but hey, I'll take what I can get, over here, our winters can go minus 50 celcius with the windchill...that would be...about -58F for you guys. The average being about -35 to -40 all winter long ..so like I said...I'll take what I can get :p

Welcome.. im 5'4'' 140 lbs so i feel your pain.....lol... how exactly did you soften it? If you adjust the rear spring to lower it a little it will effect your handling but if you adjust the compression settings it shouldnt adversly effect your handling too much unless to over do it...

Like many many wise people said to me here "Have an experienced suspension guy set the suspention for you" I tried to do it myself but just made a mess of it... I set it back to stock via the owners manual but it still dont feel like it did before i messed with it.. so, just a note of caution..

Godd luck with it

Thanks! And as for softening the suspension, I had the guys at the dealership do it for me. Still not soft enough though lol. I've JUST got the very balls of my feet touching the ground...barely...and as for pics, I'll post some up tomorrow, I haven't had a chance to really enjoy the bike yet, let alone take pictures and post them:sad. But thanks again for the welcome everybody!:biggrin

I would not worry about having both feet touch the ground.

As long as you can touch with one foot when stopped you will be good to go.

Do not make the suspension to soft or you will kill the handling of the bike.

If you really want to touch with both feet shave the seat as opposed to making changes the harm handling.

Nice bike gagix!! As for shaving the seat...how do I exactly do that? Sorry I still haven't put up pics yet, I was gone for the weekend so I didn't get a good chance to give my bike the proper scrub down it deserves :S but I'll give it a nice clean and shine tomorrow after my exam is over and put up some sexy pics!!

Nice bike you have there. Just noticed though that it has black rims. Doesn't the blue 09 come with blue rims like the 08?

GAGIX

Nah black rims. I believe the 600 still has the blue. Didn't really matter to me, but I did want to get the white and blue fairings. She's a ton of fun. The weather is suppose to be awesome next week. I think I'll be able to ride everyday next week. Come on tax return I want that "taylormade full exhaust." Check it out if you haven't seen it yet. www.racetaylormade.com

Please do a search on TM on this site before you by their exhaust....just a warning. Their quality is very poor and their design is not performance oriented....they are looks only.
