Unfortunately a lot of people like him exist. One of my sister's ex boyfriend fabricated lies after lies about his life and things that happened to gain sympathy and make people like him. Only explanation of how he could drag this on for so long and was able to fool so many people is that he's a pathological liar. Those people submerge themselves into their made up image of themselves and end up really believing what they're telling is true.

forget jail time and monetary fines, I say sign him up and ship his ass to Iraq to see what they really deal with over there.
