dont do any straight bar work. do all dumbells. and while your at it add one extra rep in all your exercises to the weak side until it catches up.(just dont hurt yourself on exercises that require simutaneous movement while doing dumbells like dumbell presses). only do it on exercises that you can safely do it on.

thats what i figured.. i actually just started throwing in extra set or to for tris on sigle arm movements.. i just started getting heavy into legs and now work them individually for quad exts. and ham curls.. 1 rep will be enough tho?

doing dumbells alone will be enough to get you balanced within a couple months. but adding one extra rep on each set is just a little extra kick. with dumbells you are forced to work evenly. even if it means your strong side isnt getting worked as hard as it should be, but such is the price to pay for symmetry. but after you are caught up and feeling balanced you can throw in straight bar exercises. when lifting like i should be i use 99% dumbell.

Ok,seriously.
Try and split up your movments with an equal amount of dumbell work. You can also add one extra set to that side each workout. You can even go in on your day off and train just that side of your body as well, just be prepared for some funny looks.

Take it from me,the left side of my upper body was incapacitated TWICE due to 2 seperate surgery's on my hand over the course of the last 2 yrs.The first time was for 4 months! witha cast on,and then another 6 months of very very light therapy.Just when I started to get back,I had to undergo another surgery, this time they removed bones. So my left side will NEVER be able to support as much as my right side,no matter what.So I am dealing with that very same situation myself. And what I told you to do is exactly what I am doing now.

I told ya kid, stick w/ me and you'll be wearing diamonds the size of grapefruits! http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/flipa.gif
