This is my cover so far.....
It's going to have the perspex glued in from the back so that there are no bolts or anyhting visible from the front.
Still working on anodising the clutch hat and spicing up the bolts and springs etc.
I'm going to use the Urethane that holds modern windscreens in. I'll prime the metal properly and etch the perspex etc. It shouldn't leak or move.

I'm told if I prime/etch everything properly then the Urethane will be no problem.
Suzuki use it to hold the sight glass in the side to see your oil level. It's much smaller but same stuff.
I guess I'll find out eh ?

Looks good!! I still haven't done much more than scribble out a quick print of what i think will work. I pretty much have everything i need to do it but the window. I guess i will have to get my ass in the shop one of these weekends and go to it. Nice indexer by the way!!

Good point, I never thought of that... it's like a big oil level window http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Just as long as you don't find out at 11,000rpm and 140mph on your favourite high speed right hander...

Yeh that's what I'm a tiny bit worried about
It's actually finished noe I'm just waiting for the clutch hat to come back form the anodisers and I'll put it back together.

Ok so the sikaflex leaked after about 3 months.
I pulled it apart and the sikaflex had not stuck to one side of it. So I cleaned it all up and started again.
This time I bead blasted the area that the sikaflex was going to stick to.
It's not going anywhere now http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
