Thanks for the info Joey, I am still trying to make a decision between the 04 600 and 750. . If the 600 has enough power then I will go with that. If I need more acceleration I could always go +2 rear and -1 front. . http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

thats a pretty tough choice, but if you are doing track days go for the 600 if street mostly 750 or 1k for sure!

What's with this picture on MCN (http://www.motorcyclenews.com/news/detail?sectionID=67356&documentID=189884).

It is a 1000 with a reworked paint scheme that and they went to the trouble of shortening the muffler.
If a picture isn't available yet then don't display one, yet on the 9th of January when that article was written pictures of the real thing had been out for a while. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif
Anyway thanks for the info gixxerjoey, I'm hanging out for some more news on the 750.

That dude who wrote the article doesn't know how to appreciate a GSXR. He was only thinking about how it wasn't a 600RR or ZX-10R, instead of what it was on its own. I think they're going to ROCK ! Both the 6 and the 750.

Is that 124 horsepower out the rear or out the crank. If this is out the rear, then it is on par with the previous model year 750s. . . Does anyone know for certain if this is rear? http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

it is not at the rear. m4 dynoed their '04 600 at 103 at the rear. that gives you a good ballpark for an actual bike.
it's best just to ignore what motor cycle ninnies says.

Hey Jefferey http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/bounce.gif do you have any info on the 04 750 numbers. . .?

the new 600's peak power increase might not be all that impressive, but it's the gains everywhere else that are more impressive, and eminently more useable.
look at the curves:
http://www.gixxer.com/uploads/2001gsxr600d.jpg
http://www.gixxer.com/uploads/04GSXR600D.jpg
horsepower is up everywhere, but once the new 600 clears 9k rpm, it gets a real kick in the ass over the previous model. at 11k, the difference is about 8hp. average horsepower from there on up to the limiter is substantially more than before.

Jeffrey thanks a lot for the info. Still makes it a very difficult decision, I love the 600 especially for the twisties, but the low end torque is the only thing that worries me on this new bike. I would love to test ride these bikes. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/banana.gif . OH WELL
