i'm a old skool oil boiler fan, now after 8 years of playing with my 2 gixxers
i'm wanting something different. i've been looking at a couple of tlr's and a tls.
what i'd like to know is what the problem area's are. what i should be concerned about and about what they're worth. any help would be greatly
appreciated. thanks

since they were never as popular as the gsxr's there resale is slightly lower. I owned a tl1000r for 9 yrs and loved it. The TLR makes for an awesome street bike but not so good on the track due to the rotary rear damper, and weight.
Biggest problem I had was the clutch push rod seal would leak and I had to replace it twice but in 8-9 years I guess it aint that bad. There is a fix using a drinking straw that I tried last time but sold the bike the next year so wont get to see how it worked out.

things to do:
shim the rear shock to raise ride height to help with turn in (or buy a penske/ohlins/bitubo)
a member on a tl wrote a sticky on a fuel filter mod- removing the fuel filter in the tank and putting in an in-line - makes changing a breeze.
TRE - throttle is real jerky down low without it
best comfort mod is a corbin seat
tps setting and throttle bodies synched are import maint on twins
cant think of anything else right now :dunno
