Basically i want to restore my computer to like it was the day i bought it. I have already tried system restore, but it will only let me go back a few days. My computer is running like shit and i am ready to throw it through a wall http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif. Its a 2.4 pentium 4, with 512 mb ram, and an 80 gig hardrive. Can someone please tell me how i can get it back to the way it was from day one??

My computer is doing things on its own. The CD drives just open up at random, pop-ups everywhere, slow as shit. Those fuckers who put the adware and spyware on peoples' computers then attack you with popups and change your homepage to advertise for shit that supposed to take it off are ass raping......
sorry. Yes what he said. Please help.

Depends on what type of system and OS. If you have a system like a Dell or Compaq, you should have a Restore Disk (not positive if Dell has these)

Or just get an XP CD, and pop that in, and reboot. Do a new install, and delete the old partition and format it.

Mine does it too sometimes.. I usually dump my temp internet files every day, and cookies.. then I do a scan disk (C drive) and a de-frag.. (C drive) about once a week or so.. That helps till I've surfed around again for a week... I use Spybot also...

One very funny thing also... For some reason my computer is copying everybody's sig pics. and little smile faces, also porn that I've never seen before... I have to dump it every day.. Very strange... http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

You could do a complete reinstall and after you get all programs, drivers and settings tweaked to how you like them use Ghost or PQDI and just make an image. Then, if it ever gets bad enough, you just recreate in 30-45mins no hassle. That's what I do for family members.
