i am getting ready to buy my first bike and have decided that i really like the sv650, not only the performance but the fact that everyone says its good for beginners. my only problem is that i despise the stock bodywork, and would like to replace it with the gixxer-style race bodywork such as the hot bodies or with cheetah's. theat brings up the possibility of finding some with cutouts for headlights and taillights....i REALLY REALLY like the race bodywork, http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif but i want to make it streetable...any advice for this newb would be much appreciated. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I suggest getting it from AK composites, the store on 4sportbikes.net or yoyodine, don't worry about the cut outs as you will want to make those yourself and use your own lights...

What about SharkSkinz? They make full race bodywork for the SV.

IIRC, AKcomp will have SV specific fairings available in a month or 2 if it's not out already.

i just bought my sharkskinz. good stuff. they make street stuff as well. expensive but there's a reason why.

i dunno, the gixxer style bodywork on the SV is played out IMO.

2wheeljunkies.com may also have SV fairings.

i have the HOTBODIES race fairings for my biek ,they not on yet due to my bent ass subframe, but they bodywork is sick, cant wait till it goes on, im jsut gonig to get a fog light or 2 for headlgiths and an LED light for the brake light
