Guys,, im trying to use up some spare parts lying around the house and I have a ECS K7VTA 2.0 Mobo that has DDR and SDRAM slots but it has Socket 462 on the processor bed.

Can I put a AMD DURON 1.4 Ghz processor with a 266 FSB in it even if the mobo only says up to 133?

Yes, it should work fine. The 266 FSB is the speed at which the processor talks to the DDR memory. DDR is dual-data rate (or something like that) so it basically doubles the speed on the FSB of the motherboard. (Basically there are two paths running from the processor to the ddr memory, each clocked at 133mhz, for a total FSB of 266mhz)
