Many people have no ide how simple it is to drain your carbs for winter storage. Or to avoid a mess when you remove them to install a jet kit or clean them.
By draining fuel over long periods of no riding you can avoid gunk build up in the small carb parts.

Drain screws are on the back side, bottom of the carbs. All you need to do is lift the tank to veiw them.
Above the screw drive tip is a gold screw, and below it is a little aluminum nipple. The nipple is acually the drain, while the screw opens the drain.

Two ways you can do this. The best way is to snug some rubber hose on the nipple. Same stuff you use to bleed brakes, or even a vent hose off your tank will work. Once the hose is on, open the screw and let the fuel drain into a bottle, then close the screw back up.
The other way is to put a old towel or rag under the nipple. Just drain the same way and let the towel soak up the fuel.

You need to do this to each carb (4) and each holds only a few ounces. Make sure you turn it back snug when done.

When you restart it will take a few seconds. Your fuel pump must fill the bowls back up. Thats it!
