What are some of the things you eat in a day? from when you wake up? And when?

start off every day with glass of pure orange juice and a bowl of muesli (unless Im running an event in which case I have boiled eggs and toast or scrambled eggs on toast )

drink water throughout the day interspearsed with cups of tea - usually snack on oranges and bannanas at work (go through three to four peices of fruit usually) for lunch I have a tuna salad roll or something rice or pasta based depending on how much training I will be doing come the evening.

I always eat a heavy carb based meal in the evening after running (about 8pm) - huge portion of pasta and vegetables or a mashed potato or baked potato based meal, or wholewhaet spaghetti based stuff, or rice based stuff - currys stir frys etc. Lots of fresh fish to.

thats usually it apart from all the beer I drink in the evenings but - im trying to cut down on alcohol at the moment as it interferes with my training to much (and boy isnt it a struggle).


If I go out to eat I like Thai food, or go for a rare rump steak with all the trimmings. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/punk.gif

Typical day for me...

-------------------------

Breakfast:
cereal ( either grape nut o's, raisin bran, or honey bunches of oats ) mixed with traditional grape nuts for more fiber.

Chocolate whey mixed into milk for cereal.

Glass of OJ

Piece of fruit.

--------------------------

Mid morning: ( usually one or two of these things)

Fruit. (apple or Asian pear usually)
Mixed nuts or
yogurt
pb & jelly sand.

---------------------------

Lunch:

Chicken breasts
Rice
Potatoes
vegies
etc...

---------------------------

Mid afternoon:

More fruit...
cliff bar
energy bites
etc...

---------------------------

Dinner:

Steak / Chicken / pasta
vegies

--------------------------

Late night snack:

Yogurt
Protein Shake
milk
cottage cheese

I eat about every 2-3 hours.... granted, I'm on a HEAVY training schedule. 5 days of cardio and 4 days of lifting a week. If your not training like a mad man, I don't suggest eating as much as I do.

I went from 240 lbs to 165 with this diet. It's funny because I probably eat 3 times more now then I did when I was fat! Eating every few hours really gets your metabolism going! Not to mention all the cardio burns up all that food quickly!

Breakfast:

2 eggs and Rougly 75 ml of Egg Whites
a Bagel with Peanut butter
a couple glasses of water


I'll usually have a light snack before lunch, consisting of:

Yogurt, and Fruit


Lunch:

Often i'll bring food that was left over from my meal the night before, Chicken and Rice, or Steak or something. Also I often have a Tuna Sandwich, or Tuna on a Pita. today I had a Chicken Cesar Salad.

Mid day Snack:

Yogurt or Cottage Cheese, with either some fruit or Oatmeal.

Supper:

Depends on what the lady friend makes http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif But if I cook, its usally Chicken Breast and Rice or Salmon or a steak. For Carbs I use Rice, Whole Wheat pasta, or a baked Potatoe. Also try to get the greens in, so Green beans or brocoli.

I Also drink Water ALL day long, and LOTS of It.

Thats just a rough guide of what I eat day to day. I am just getting back into working out in the Gym, and getting Stricter with my Diet. Hoping to slim down, and get fitter, I need to pick up some Whey protien to use as snacks as well, and for after workout meals.
