gixxercan 07-08-2009, 09:02 PM Because I know what it is? And if it means that much to me I can always rivet it one whats left! but then it's UNDER the brace= ugly look!

You pay shipping fees plus 5$ for my time and it's yours to rep!:punk
crazyjackcracker 07-10-2009, 01:09 AM Let me call Yoshimura and see if I can get one from them for the same price. Rather not waste your time if I can get a new one for the same price. I'll be in touch.
On a semi-related note: I was reading about repacking the exhaust. Couple of Q's:
Do any of you guys repack per the 7k-10k suggestion?
I heard that when you cut the exhaust you are supposed to repack. True?
When repacking, how many layers of wool do you put back on? I heard there are 5 on stock and most use 1-2. Thoughts?
(This one's probably a stupid one) - Where could I get the material to repack with?
check out the vid from Yoshimura on repacking the exhause if your interested: http://www.yoshimura-rd.com/t-muffler.aspx?v=vid
gixxercan 07-15-2009, 11:13 PM MOVIE TIME.. The exhaust VIBRATES CAR WINDOWS.. HAHA!
I like it VERY throaty!

Why is the bracket going to be over the badge?

His badge is longer than your RS-3.
Overall, nice cut.
jonniekash742 08-05-2009, 10:08 PM The problem with chopping your exhaust is it can run hot. Mine's chopped and it tends to run super hot at times....anybody else having this problem?
crazyjackcracker 08-05-2009, 10:30 PM sure it gets hotter than it would if it wasn't cut...less metal material = less diffusion of heat.
just dont touch it?
diddy2003 08-05-2009, 10:33 PM why wouldnt you do it from the other end so you can keep the badge?
I would have cut it from the other end to get rid of the burn mark.
To the op, you do know that the exhaust needs to be repacked, correct? I think this is done about every 15k or so. The packing materials break down and then the carbon will burn. I am not saying that is what it is, but that is what it looks like.
Nice job on the cut.
gixxercan 08-06-2009, 03:41 PM no.. my friend accidently scraped it up against a wall when he borrowed it.. so that is just a scrape more

That sucks. You did a nice job with the cut though.
