I'm about to change the oil for the first time on my 92 600. I've been told to be very careful retightening the drain plug, because they're susceptible to stripping. What's the correct tq spec to torque it to? I've also been warned about overfilling it with oil. How many quarts should I put in?

Procure a user's manual and follow the directions. The sight glass on the side of the motor should have two lines, one for 'low' the other for 'full'.

The critical thing, besides torque, when changing oil, is using a NEW crush washer on the drain bolt each time. Kinda helps keep the heli-coils at bay. Good luck and take your time. But do get the little manual...its just too iffy without that book to refer to when your on the road.
