I need help with my nutrition in order to shed some lbs. Between my fresh and soph years of college I put on 30 lbs(tot. 220 lbs.) because of my roommate(bodybuilder). Previous to that I had a great build in h.s. only 7% body fat and was descent size. In college I started working out with him and got way to big and became a bouncer. I then got lazy and put on more weight and ended up at 270 lbs. So I got back on the horse and a diet (mostly atkins--slightly modified) and dropped to 240. I got as low as 227 but I couldn't keep it going. I took a month off and am now 240 again. My goal is 210-215 athletic build and slightly defined(mostly abs) depending on what I look like. I need help in that last hump to finally lose the last 25. Any suggestions? I have a broad understanding of nutrition and lifting. Need Help!!!!!!

well, I'm both. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

However, there's a billion threads on this. In fact, there is a chance we'll make a forum just for this type of stuff at which point they're going to make me a mod and I'll bring down my wrath on all the asshats http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif. Well, that probably won't happen because I won't go to the lengths the other mods did. Mr gixxer does have needs. But wait, I got sidetracked somewhere. In the meantime, try doing a search first and you'll find a ton of info.

Welcome to the site btw. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

I've scoured the internet and found many diets and exercises but they all seem pretty far fethched or involve a lot of meal preparation and eating times. I'm 23 and 6' tall, still in school (grad school) so I dont have a lot of time to prepare meals, in fact, I barely make enough time to hit the gym. I'm on winterbreak so I decided to start something really hardcore and stick with and get the job done. If I spent the same amount of time in the gym as I do in the library, I 'd be my old well defined self. I have a mesomorph build so I held the weight pretty well, but Im sick of it. I've also heard that a stretching or yoga class can help(?). I need a regimen geared for me because I've tried everyone else's and theyre not quite for me. And I don't feel like paying for a consultation or a trainer.

What are you doing to exercise? A decent cardio workout (in addition to a sensible diet) will shed pounds fast.
