boilovepho 04-23-2009, 02:09 AM the local dealership was having a sale on torco t-4sr 10-40 oil. It says 100% synthetic on the bottle. it was only 6 bucks a quart. I use 20W-50 in my bike and it runs just the same as new.... True.... I usually use the lightest oil possible that delivers protection. Use of a higher viscosity oil than necessary comes with it's own set of problems.. reduced fuel mileage, less HP, possible oil starvation. The only time I would consider a 20W-50 is if it is a petroleum oil and I ride at highway speeds for an hour or more at a time.. I don't see me using a petroleum oil.
