Well Hello and Merry freaking christmas....

I am in a bit of a pisser (I love the brits) anyways all I want for Xmas is to hear my baby come to life again.
I installed the carbs 39mmFCR
New plugs
USED Dyna coils one coil feeds 1 and 4 and the other coil feeds 2 and 3 I believe I hooked the wires to proper coils White wire and Orange wire with white stripe to coil feeding 1 and 4 (Not sure if I have the right polarity) and the Black with yellow stripe and Orange with white stripe to the coils feeding 2 and 3 (again Not sure if I have the right polarity).

I have a couple of questions does any body know the polarity of the wires going into the coils apparently is it very important for the Dyna coils.

Question 2 does any one have a picture to show me how the wires are connected to the stock coils I didn't write it down 2 years ago when I pulled her apart.

Next question does it really matter which plug wire coming out of the coil feeds the prospective plug as I am looking at the diagram the coil must fire both plugs at the same time. Does that sound correct? just checking.

This is pisser If I have everything hooked the way I know to do it ,I hit the start button and she rummbles and sputters but never starts, now and again I get a nice back fire out of the #4 Carb and I mean fire. Any suggestions?

Yeah but I don't remeber where I put it and my factory manual does really specify which wire goes to which plug on the stock coils

Polarity doesnt matter much. It will erode the plug ground electroe rather than the center electrode, but bike must fire either way.

And you're right, both cyls are fired simultaneously, so it doesnt matter either if you exchange #1 wire with #4 wire. Or 2 and 3.

dont have a wiring diagram for your years bike, but the oil coolers had exactly the same wire color codes like you just described, wired in the way you just said...

I ttally understand what you are saying but Dynas made a special note on their support site stating the it will cause damage but it will not produce the optimum spark.

Does anyone have the installion directions handy for the Dyna DC1-1 dual otput coils.

The coils are fed +12VDC all the time when the ignition is on and the kill-switch isn't in "kill" position. ...the ECU triggers the (-) side, so based on what you've said, the orange-white wire must be the (+) one.

If it runs the way that you have it plugged-in now, then it's right. if it does not run the way it is, then swap the wires that are not orange-white with each other.
