I'm shopping holsters for a Sig Sauer p250c.

I'm looking at all options and really just looking for a good place online to shop. It seems there are a lot of sites out there. Any help/recommendations/advice etc would be much appreciated!

Check out http://www.tactical.com/ I've made many purchases through them and have always been taken care of. They have the Serpa (level 2) in stock and it will fit your Sig very nicely. Hell, it's even available in carbon fiber :biggrin

If that's not the style you're going for, there's plenty of options so let us know.

Thanks Rell I'll check them out, for clarification (ie those that don't know me) I'm a chick, so I'll need something that will actually be concealable without a long jacket, this has me leaning towards either a shoulder rig or maybe a small of the back holster (though I don't like the reach).

DAMN some of their stuff is on back order till August!

Mel,

But a holster on your side seems as though it would fit your personality so much better :shifty

Let me do some digging and see what I can come up with. :cheers

If you're looking at a shoulder rig, check out the Galco Miami Classic. I've been wearing mine for about six or seven years now. It's great, the only holster I use (and I own several). Available just about everywhere.

I do really like the ergonomics and usability of the SERPA holsters. They have a shoulder rig now but it looks like it's on back order everywhere.

Galco do make excellent products! http://www.lapolicegear.com/ is another retailer that I've made several purchases through and highly recommend. Looks like the Galco shoulder rig is in stock.

If you wear a belt, summer comfort in the waist band holster from galco, if not, they have a clip on in the waistband holster as well. I have a summer comfort for all my guns:cheers

Check out Comp-Tac out of Texas. Great customer service and they have tons of shit and if they don't have it, they will make it. Had a buddy w/a Glock 34 with Tac light and he wanted a left hand cross draw. They didn't have it but they made it for him. Easily some of the best holsters I have ever used. For concealability check out the C-TAC w/C clips. I wear one every day under dress clothes with a Glock 26 and you would never know it's there.

I'll second everything Jer has said about Comp-Tac.

I would have recommended a Crossbreed small-of-back holster if you are interested in going that route, but they no longer make it. Maybe a Comp-Tac C-Tac or Minotaur holster for your weak side placed in that position would work as well.

I'm not experienced with shoulder holsters, sorry.:dunno Nice gun by the way.:cheers

I don't have it anymore, we returned it since it never would work reliably even after going to two gun smiths. So...no I have a Sig Sauer p250. It has a lifetime warranty and the modular caliber swap kits, it's a .40, but can be changed to 9mm or .45 ACP. This works out better really, it will be easier to conceal and more reliable, plus it carries almost twice as many rounds in the mag.

I hate holsters, more chance of someone seeing it and freaking out. Thats happened to me before. Cop draws on me in a fucking Burger King parking lot, waits for back up and then disarms me. Then doesn't even apologize for treating me like shit even after all my paperwork checks out clean... Just jam it in your waste line.

You idiot:dissapointed Wait till you "jam it in your waistband" and blow a hole in your femur, or shoot your junk off.

Illegal in most states for one.

For two, it is not secure that way. whats worse, someone maybe seeing it on yoru waist, or someone seeing it skipping across the floor when you drop it. Cant run without holding it. Cant do much of anything without holding it. Have to check/adjust it fairly often.

Three, on the secure thing again, easier to be disarmed in a tussle that way. Retention is important

four, a PROPER holster, that is well made, will hide it just as well as your method AND be more comfortable, AND protect the gun from your sweat,

Five, you have NO protection for the trigger........ that is a HUGE deal

And six, carrying is a big deal..... sometimes you have to make some changes to your apparel, or your chosen gun, to be able to do so responsibly.

Just my opinion (most of it at least) of course:dunno

7: When you draw a gun from a holster your finger is not on the trigger. Reach into your pants and you CAN have a full grip, trigger and all in your hands which can end very bad. Same with reholstering

I got a SERPA style side holster and I think I am going to get the shoulder rig that you can use with it, I am still waiting on my CCW though, I turned it in about a month ago I guess.
