Can anyone here help me out with something.... I have a 92 GSXR 750, with 10k on it. I have had the carbs re-jetted, and a Yosh system put on. I've done a couple of other mods, but, I am still semi-dissatisfied with the 0-60 performance.... I have the stock 43 tooth rear sprocket. If I change rear sprockets, will I lose a lot of high range RPMs?? I want to boost 0-60, and at the same time I dont want to kill my highway riding... Help me here!

go up 2-3 teeth out back, put in an adjustable ignition advancer (i think 3 or 4 degrees would be just about right for your bike, but you can experiment with different advances).

with the shorter gearing, it'll put your rpms a little higher at highway speeds, but that's the unavoidable tradeoff that happens when you gear for better acceleration.

not much more you can do - if you want more power than that, you'll need to put money into the motor. or if you can find an 1100 motor for a good price, shove that into the frame. good luck finding one though, they're rare.

check out http://www.factorypro.com

i think they have adjustable ones for your bike, although they're saying that for a stock motor with stock compression, 4 degrees advance will give you more power all over the rev range. a fixed advancer will run you $50.

if you're still interested in the adjustable one, you should probably call or email them to check for availability.
