I could be stationed in Cali here in a bit, I'm needing to know is my home defense weapons are legal, or legalish enough not to go to jail as I tend to try to be a law abiding citizen and such. They are as follows:

12ga 9shot Mossberg pursuader
XD 45acp, 13+1rd 4.25"
6shot 357 S&W model 19 snubby X2

Everything else I'm leaving with family but I would like to have my home defense/carry stuff out there for sure.

What are the carry Laws? All input is greatly appriciated, Thx in advance

Shouldn't be a problem. The only problem w/ hi caps is that you can not sell, trade or buy mags over 10 rnds, so stock up before you go & get me a few as well :wink:. Also any pistol you want to buy new, must be on the DOJ list, otherwise get it before you come or don't change your residency & buy it when you go home Or you will have to find it used as it was not submitted to a drop test & more importantly, the state of Commifornia did not get their $$$.

i don't know much about guns but i do know that in CA you're legally limited to 3 rounds in a shotgun, 2 in the clip (for me) and 1 in the chamber.

haha probably. my uncle bought a new shotgun not too long ago...we were out hunting and most of the time you heard a few shots from each area but then from his direction we heard 6 or 7...he forgot to put the plug in it. glad the warden didn't show up that day :lol

Unless it's pest/varmit hunting--think blackbirds or coyotes, the limit in KY is 3 rds

Went to the range last week, lots of cops were shooting, people who wre not cops were shooting AR-15's, AK's, Hk-91's and various other non cali guns. This is the Angeles shooting range were most of the So Cal cops go. From what I have seen if you go to a range in cali you can shoot just about anything and it won't be a problem. If you are going to shoot a person in self defence here in Cali, it better be a legal gun for the state or the shit will hit the fan.

You need the 10rd mag for the 45 or its not legal, I don't even think your supposed to have the 13rd mag in possession. Check on it to be sure though.

Now thats just waterfowl hunting? In MN waterfowl, and pheasant we are restricted to 3 shots. Small game (rabbit, squirrel, grouse, ect....) full load:dunno

:spitGood luck getting your CCW in Commifornia unless you've got one heck of a good reason besides protecting yourself & your family. Gun shop owner, banker or diamond dealer you might get one. Use to be able to by one from the sheriff in OC, but those days are gone. They are even trying to recall some of those permits. No problems on the range for me

Just a couple letters of recomdation from two local sheriffs... Grandma was best friend to one's wife and dated the others neice for 5 yrs off-on, Think that would be enough? It's not that big of a deal but I know there are those out there with bad attitudes that could be problems... Ann won't carry concealed so I'll get her mase n stun gun I suppose:dunno

only if your law enforcement in ca. otherwise its back to the 10 rounds.
