Hey guys Im going to be buying my 1st hand gun soon! My father has 6 including a rifle but i want my own. SO ive narrowed it down to theeeee (drumroll):

Beretta 92sf/m9/90-two
or the
Walther p99

any thoughts or sugestions? I think im leaning towards the 92 since i want to become a more proficient shooter. thanks for your input a head of time :)

MaG, you'll love the 90two! Its the replacement for the 92FS. The 90two has sleeker features, recoil buffer and easy.....easy.....did I say easy maintenance? I also love the looks also.

The P99 is also a great gun. I don't own one, I've shot plenty of rounds. But I do own a P22 which also a great little handgun.

I would say you won't be sorry with a 90two or a P99. Choice is yours bud.

If it were me, Beretta. I have experience with the PX4 Storm which was an EXCELLENT gun. Maybe getting another one as I regret not having it now that I think of it. Thanks alot.:shifty

Ive heard good of Walther, but never handled one:dunno

i own the 96fs (the first pistol i ever bought) the .40 cal version of the 92fs and it is a really nice gun but they are really on the big side for ccw. get a smaller pistol if you only own one. that way it is versitile for ALL situations you may need it for. go mid size. glock 23, for instance. good luck, and i highly recommend taking a defensive pistol course, VERY good training.

I just bought the 92fs, and have to say that I love they way this gun shoots.
Smooth, great action, easy to clean and maintain.
I got it from a dealer friend for $500.00 with a case, holster and 200 round of ammo (all used up at the range yesterday).

It is to big for conceal carry but im looking at a G26 for that so the size wasnt a concern for this gun. I would recomend it to anyone.

To big? Isnt that a 4" gun? I carry an XDM with a 4 1/2 inch barrel sometimes. But my main carry is a 45 XD. Either are perfectly comfortable with an in the waist band holster from Galco. But to each his own.

Nice gun:cheers

If im just wearing a T-Shirt it hangs out the bottom and from what Ive heard thats a no-no down in Texas. I tried the "in the waist" mode for carry but just cant get used to it pointing at my junk while im walkin around.

I carry my in the waist band back by my wallet. Its comfortable to sit that way and ride. Also if someone wants to rob me, they can tell me to give them my wallet and end up with a much bigger surprise:biggrin

look at the galco summer comfort holster:cheers

both are great guns but I prefer the feel of the beretta trigger. As said previously if looking at the 92fs check out the 90two.
