Suzuki Chelly 02-27-2009, 10:52 AM It doesn't work. Check your pbucket permissions, you may need to make a seperate folder for sharing pics.
Sounds like a sweet build. It's a little more blinged than mine.
Mine's more of a budget build, it's stock inside, just a little polished up. I went with a Hogue overmolded stock, Sweet 22 scope, and a Butler Creek Triport barrel.
Since your pics aren't working, here's mine.

I haven't gotten a chance to take it outdoors, and the indoor only has a 25 yard range, but this is typical at 25 yards.

I'm going to have to borrow that picture. Except my story will slightly exaggerate the claim out to say 100 yards.:biggrin
I haven't shot my Ruger in quite some time. Glad I seen this thread, I'll have to break it out soon.
Suzuki Chelly 02-27-2009, 11:20 AM I really need to work on that flyer that made the group almost double in size :wait
Yeah between remodeling at my old place, work, moving to the new place, etc. I haven't put a round thru any of my Rugers in months. I always wanted to pimp a 10/22 but couldn't bring myself to do it to my existing one that my parents gave me for xmas in 1994. It was my 1st gun. It's got sentimental value, so it's staying as-is forever.
Since we're rambling about 10/22's, I'll share a little story that sort of involves them. I went to an amusement park type of place when I was 19 years old with my gf then. They had a laser shooting gallery thing that had actual 10/22's converted to shoot an invisible laser beam, and the targets had sensors. Of course we played a couple rounds of it. I'd had my own 10/22 for about 5 years then, and had taken every chance possible to become very intimately familiar with it. Maybe not quite "You will sleep with your rifle. You will give it a girl's name" familiar, but it was close.
So with a carnival toy that felt identical to my old standby, I was cleaning up. After a couple rounds, people were gathered around the platform watching me crush the hell out of the previous high score. People were convinced that I must be some special forces sniper on leave or something to handle a rifle well. They refused to believe that's just how it is for a good ole boy that loves to plink.
Fast forward 6 years from there, I became a cop and was just a couple rounds out of 1st place for top shot in the academy. They didn't grade long gun and shotgun, but I was probably one of the best all around. The girl that got the top shot award couldn't shoot a long gun that well, and she hated the shotgun, but she burned thousands of rounds on her own getting ready for the academy, she had that top shot award in mind the whole time. I just showed up there, and had never even seen my city-issue gun before I got there, let alone shoot that particular model/style.
Frankenzuki 02-27-2009, 11:24 AM Is it working yet? What am I doing wrong? First time posting pics here.http://s675.photobucket.com/albums/vv111/Frankenzuki/?action=edit¤t=DSC_0053.jpg
gixxer6nick 02-27-2009, 01:11 PM you could always download the pic to your computer and use the sites uploader.

gixxer6nick 02-27-2009, 02:23 PM Very nice:thumbup
Countryboy 03-04-2009, 03:00 PM very nice 10/22. ive been looking for abeater to replace my marlin 981t so i can outfit it for silouette. may have to check back on your mods when i finally can find one cheap
Frankenzuki 03-05-2009, 08:30 AM I got several of my parts from this guy. He does mostly 10/22, and allot of AR stuff. A very helpful guy, decent prices. http://www.gunkings.com/
kdj67f 03-05-2009, 09:10 PM I like that laminated stock:cheers
I want to build a nice target/plinker 10/22 and I may just start after seeing that stock!
redneckrider 03-09-2009, 08:58 AM I have always wanted to build up a 10/22 like that, but i think i would be disappointed. My .17 HMR shoots under .5" 5 shot groups at 100 yards stock, so i think i would have trouble matching that with a .22. :dunno

You can do one in .17hmr or .17hm2. :dunno
kdj67f 03-09-2009, 05:28 PM The nice thing about .22lr is the expense. .17hmr is a lot more expensive. I have one of each and love the .17 but .22 is cheaper to shoot. Buy both!

I was going to mention that as well. The .17's are cool, but cost so much you might as well be shooting centerfire, especially if you're a reloader.
jermattak 03-10-2009, 03:22 AM ive been thinkin about getting one, and converting it to a bullpup...for shits and giggles
redneckrider 03-12-2009, 04:34 AM Yeah, that .17 is sweet as hell, but cost a lot to shoot relative to a .22. I am probably going to pick up a new 10/22 when i get around to getting a new carry gun, thinking Kimber SIS Ultra Carry....:punk
