: Performance Machine bites!
duckboy 12-05-2003, 02:43 AM Just a quick rant here. Wanted to get a 520 sprocket x 43t for my non-cush drive chicanes, and they send me one for cush drive, a week after I ordered it. Called back, and after lots of hassle, got them to send a call tag. They want to see my old sprocket so they can match it up, so I send it back, too. They matched it up, alright, right down to the 530 x 44t size! Here I am, a month and a half later still without the sprocket I want. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/bitchslap.gif
I guess I'll get a refund and have Sprocket Specialists make something up. At least they can hard anno for me...

I could have told you that........ I went through the same thing when I was talking to them about the 4 pot calipers I had. They deal pretty much with H-D only stuff now.... ask em a sportbike question and they become real stupid real quick!

Bones_GSXR 12-06-2003, 12:08 AM Sprocket Specalities or Vortex for the sprocket. All you need to do is tell them if it is a Large bearing or Small bearing sprocket. The center hole is the only thing thats different on PM wheels sprockets

I guess no one told PM that- the first sprocket they sent had 5 mounting holes, and mine has 6! And to think, I was willing to pay extra (for a crappy ol' polished srpocket) because they are supposed to be the experts on the stuff that they made!...What was I thinking?!!? http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/wtf.gif

I know, I know. But they are lighter than stock, and bikes did win races with them back in the day. I keep trying to talk SOMEONE into trading his Marchesinis so he can complete his EBSCO rep...
BTW, how's your bike going, Karl?

http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Yeah thats what I thought too...... that is until they tryed to tell me that my 4 pot PM calipers(that were clearly marked made in 1992 and looked it from the wear) were actually modified 4 pot calipers for the 2000+ Harley Sportster.... http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif At that point I looked up their 2000+ sportster calipers and there was no way in hell that my calipers were ever that model!! The calipers immediately went to Ebay for sale after that!!!! I want nothing to do with such stupidity..... I talked to the EBSCO Suzuki guy and he said the same thing..... stay far far away from PM.
