just wanted to say hello to everyone here on the streetfighters forum....i been reading the oil cooled and below the belt for ages and have just come across a good deal for an 85 gsxr750. so i bought it and its gonna be the streetfighter project.
so ill be picking your brains in the near future.

already got srad tail plastic for it and a 6 inch wheel and a srad swingarm that im gonna try make fit. the upside down front end on my current ride is going on it and thats about as far as my ideas have gone so far...bikes not arriving til next week, cant wait to get started..

Good to see another aussie into streetfighters. I saw that gixxer on ebay and was thinking of biddding on it myself. Ive got an 88 750 streetfighter currently in bits being polished and painted, if i ever get around to finishing it, ill post some pics

I just noticed youre running 36mm carbies, i assume theyre of an 88/89 750? Did you just use a stage 3 kit? Are you happy with the results?

they were off a 93 gsx1100 i from memory.....they made a big difference after i put new o-rings thru them and fiddled with them heaps...still not running perfect but good enuf for the moment....i ordered new emulsion tubes for them but seems i got the wrong ones and aint got around to sorting that problem out. and i think i ended up using the stage 2 size jet...the stage 3 was awesome in high revs but shit down low...stage 2 seems good all round.

i have spent heaps of time and money on those carbs but definately made a big difference.

Welcome to this forum. Take your time and hangout awhile. My Streetfighter is on the back burner right now while I work on my 90. Hopefully I will get back to it next winter.

thanx for the welcomes......my street fighter is gonna be a very long term project. and i still havent finished the first bike yet....the things we do!!!
