My lovely bike a GSXR750 WS 1995 seems to have a small fuel problem!
The problem being, when I brought the bike about 5 months ago I was getting about 100-110 miles out before going on to reserve. Over the last couple of fills im getting a about 70 Miles before going on reserve.

Now this seems a big drop. I know that now I can ride the bike hard but lately its been raining hard here in the UK so i havent been raging the bike.

Anyone got any ideas on whats going on? http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/lick.gif

this is starting to cost me a fortune on ride outs with the lads. lol http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/burnout.gif

It seems to be running very rich. I also have a 95' 750WS and I live in the UK. I also got my bike about 4-5 months ago http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Mine never did less than 125miles before hitting the reserve except for the last month or so when it's been cold where it's hit the reserve at 115miles once or twice. I am not that good with bike mechanics so I dont have a clue http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Maybe warn jets, needles or summats.

Mine ran very rich when I 1st got it, This was down to a clogged up airfilter, But that didnt cause it to drink that much fuel.

So in your eyes then the bike is drinking the fuel then.

Looks like I have to book the beast in then http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

I would give the carbs a good cleaning and check the emulsion tubes in the carb If they are worn? it could cause bad milage

emulsion tubes? whats that then and how would I check to see if there is sign of then being worn!

Is it easy to clean the carbs. I've neaver taken my bike apart yet.

hello,go to Factory web page and they'll describe emulsion tubes there. They actually get "out of round".
