Thats assuming someone isn't using both hands to hold the pistol and who the hell would hold it out like a retard. Alot of wishful thinking in those "moves", easy way to get yourself killed. I'll shoot someone dead before I hold them up.

Actually, alot of people hold guns "movie style" and not in a tactically sound manner. Even 'professionals' tend to make some minor tactical blunders here and there, so somebody with no practice probably won't fare any better.

While those moves are combat proven, they obviously depend on a little luck. Personally I'm all for taking my chances. If he's gone that far, he may just kill you anyway. Or he could easily panic, taking you out by accident. Might as well take your chances and go down fighting.
