...I bought a Bushmaster M4 (not Post Ban) about a month ago. I can't tell you much about 'em as I haven't shot it yet, and it's the first AR I've bought....

Bushmaster makes very good stuff, but personally if I could I would by the Sig 556. better gas system & folding stocks are always nice. Like I said I would pay the extra $$$ for the Sig, but you can't go wrong with a Bushmaster either.

$.02

I would love to get the Sig, but I'm impatient lol. We're also not allowed a folding stock, needs to be fixed http://sportbikeaddicts.com/forums/images/smilies/jerkit.gif

If you can I would get the one with the removable handle. Nice to mount a red dot or other optic without it sitting up on top of the handle

Sounds good for the price. I'd get the removable handle if possible too. I like having options.

Did you look into some hi-cap mags? 10 rounds is a small #, I like 30 better.

i prefer a red dot with a set of flip up sights for backup. add a surefire forend handle(pricey) on the front with a light/laser combo and you'll be set.

Jersey allows 15 rd max.

That's a good price, get the removeable handle and do your own sights.
Does the dealer cut mags for you too????

Yea, I'm hoping the removable handle one comes in. Not sure on the mags. If not, is there a company that makes 15rd mags?

i would get the bushmaster, i have the M4A3, and i love it. when i was in iraq we had Colts. and they where nice but i just like the feel of my bush better. just wish i could get the 14" barrel for it. but my next move is flip up front and rear sights.

I have a Bushmaster M4 XM15 and it was my first AR. It's scary accurate right out the box!!

I got the removable handle so I can add optics in the future. It also came with two 30 round clips.

Actually they will fit the mag well, but are not designed to feed the 5.56. different follower & spring

Lol. Learn something new every day.....I guess I should have researched that one as I have no idea what that round even looks like. I've only ever seen an AR-15 in 5.56, 5.7, or 7.62.

Just got 'er home :punk

Removable handle, collapsible stock(pinned.) Price went up a few bucks from when I was quoted last from 899 to 930. The demand is crazy. My dealer also said hes getting a bunch of 15 round mags which I'll be picking up too.

Just something I wanted to add to the collection. I actually got lucky being there seems to be a shortage of assault weapons as everyone is buying em up. Just happened to call up my dealer on a Friday, he said he had 2 coming in on a Tuesday, it was in my possession by Wed. After this purchase I'm done for a while being track season is right around the corner.

Quick, check out command arms accessories, for a fore grip/bipod in one, tripl rail mount for flashlight/laser/grip combo, ect...... lots of nice stuff for decent prices. The foregrip is tits. You hold it will standing and shooting, and with the push of your thumb, a bipod deploys out of the bottom for accurate long range shots:cheers

Thanks for that info. I definitely want to do some stuff to it, better grips(both,) bipod, and some optics. With track season coming up I better try and grab any OT I can.

I want to get some optics for it too...would like an ACOG, but can't bring myself to spend that kind of money.

Congrats on the new gun! Great prices too considering all the shit were going through right now!
I just built my first two AR's this month! Only bad part, is the amount of ammo you burn up! Went through 500 rounds already!
See if you can get some Pmags, they are the best i've found yet!

Nice^:biggrin

You have the laser toggle attatched to the grip like I do. Squeeze the grip, the laser comes on. I see you went with a seperate bipod. Any reason you didnt get the grip/bipod in one? Is that the veridian green laser like I have? I can see my dot in sunlight for a good distance.

Sweet setup quick:cheers

Thanks man...my friend that hooked me up with the military issue Kights Armament rail system, also gave me the handle for nothing. The bottom of it by the knob still has a lil bit of Iraqi dust on it, thought that was cool. So then all I needed was the bipod itself. Forget the brand of laser, but yea its the green dot, bright as hell. At the show the guy put it on the far wall bout 300' away and it was nice n bright so I snagged it up.
