can i use the dexcool or what ever that orange coolant is? i heard it is supose to help the engine alot more and last longer?

I'm gonna try that Engine ice antifreeze, it's supposed to run cooler

Water wetter is a different thing than dexcool. Yep, you can use tap water and waterwetter. I use that on my turbo'ed car. No antifreeze protection thou....

If you use dexcool, be VERY careful not to let your engine run low on coolant. Also, ALWAYS premix dexcool or other coolant with water BEFORE adding it to the engine. I've heard horror stories about dexcool plugging everything inside the engine if run low/added to a hot engine.

GM cars are shipped form factory with dexcool. Even worse, its required for warranty to be valid. After warranty expires, most mechanics will switch to regular green ethylen glycol coolant.

from what I've heard gm dexcool is nothing more than the same stuff with a little dye.
