OK, so I finally get around to installing my SRS link, and something's wrong. The link is waaaaayyyyy more narrow where the dogbones attach than the stocker. What to do? I've compared it with the stock '93 750 and 1100, as well as a stock '95 750, and all of those are the same as each other.
Anyone have a pic of a gen 2 oiler link?

Not a pic, but you can look up the fiches at motofiches.com.
That said, if your SRS link doesnt work, I'll gladly buy it!

it's supposed to be that way...... I used an old pin and cut it to length to fit between the dog bones. The SRS link floats on the pin.

Yeah - I've looked at that too (haven't installed mine yet) it looks to me like they were made to fit perfectly with the `88/`89 link and that of course, is narrower through the middle because of the thick aluminum dogbones instead of the thin steel one on the `93 style linkage. There shouldn't be any thrust-load at that point, so I figured it wouldn't be a problem to just get some sleeves to take up the space for appearance-sake. ...the sleeve that rides inside the needle-bearings (from the OEM `93-style link) is long enough to fit up properly with the bolt/nut.
...did anyone ever decide how thick the spacers for the shock top-mount are supposed to be? (I'm going to have to make those because all I got was the link itself).

I've got an old Roadracing World article where some numb nuts was bitching because it wasn't "Engineered" like the oem piece..... http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/bitchslap.gif

Zook said that his best info was to run as much spacer as you can without the spring hitting the swingarm. I got his extra spacers, and if I have extras, they will be available.
Gixxerracer, it's nice to hear from you again. Things were gettin' kinda quiet here for a while.
