Hi,
Don't know if anyone can offer any advice on this - but I am trying to get the date of manufacture of my GSXR750L - I have raced this old beast for a while now in open class and have found a class where I believe she will be competitive. Now heres the rub - to be eligible a bike must be manufactured before the 31-12-1989 - this bike was first road registered in the Isle of Man in March of 1990. Now by my reckoning there is a good chance this bike was actually put together at the tail end of 89 and therefore on a technicality would qualify for this class. I have tried Suzuki GB - but they have not yet got back to me. I have chassis/engine numbers so I believe this will be possible it just a case of getting through to the right people. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Pete

he's aware of this but he is looking to see exactly when she was manufactured, like say in November of 89 for the 90 year, just like the 2004 gsxr's that are out now in 2003....

Don't know if it helps but mine was made in 10/89 and was the first one to arrive in Western Australia. I picked it up December 15th, 1989.

Thanks for the info guys I'll double check the frame plate. And judging from AusGixxerPilot's model this gives me a lot of confidence that she's going to qualify. Wish I had the choice of classes you guys get our vintage classes tend to be for old thumpers and everthing else is pretty much lumped in with the new stuff.
