strip out all the interior, lay some carpet, couches, bed, etc. Add some cabinets and countertop. Toss a 15k lb hitch on the frame and tow the bike hauler.

just make half of the bus a living/ hang out area and the other half a garage for like four bikes, plus parts and stuf. That would be awesome, bikes locked up with and out of the weather.

5mpg from a 95 gallon tank would still give you close to 500 miles per stop. My biggest issue would be getting a class 5 hitch mod'd to fit the chasis and the fact that its geared for city driving with a top speed of 62mph.

That thing is HUGE!!
The price is right and they look in good shape, did you call on the reserve amount? Still, 5k for a Texas rig is good money.
Can you get a hold of Merlin the machinist? His bus was next to Street and Comp at Daytona, I believe he pulled a trailer with it, maybe he can answer your tow/haul question.

Well the buy-it-now price is $4995 and they have 13 of them, so I'm willing to bet the reserve is at least 4500, if not the full 4995.
i emailed them about the condition, they all have 200k-600k miles on them with no engine/tranny rebuilds.
The other issue is the top speed of 62mph since its geared for city driving.
I'm sure anything can be fabb'ed to tow. But with a weight of 28k lbs I'm not sure how much more it would be able to tow (like my 15k trailer)
pipe dream, but it would be kewl.
