I searched other threads for this info an didn't find it so forgive me if i missed it out there. I have a 90 1100 and I am going through the carbs. For what I'm going to spend, I was thinking of going to a Keihin flat slide set up. Next year I'm going through the motor and I'm stepping up to an 1186 set up with stage I cams etc.

Is the Keihin or Mikuni flat slide a usable carb on the street? Do either have a choke circuit? Does anyone out there have experience with them and can tell me honestly if there are any differences to consider? What do i have to change to get a push pull cable etc? Also, is a Dyna ignition set up as reliable as stock?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
