Finally got it-I picked it up thursday night-tonight I prepped it and put on decent tires (dunlop http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/piss.gif), changed oil, went through the bike and made sure everything seemed ok etc.... The only time I have ridden it was with supa low tires, we will see how she handles tomorrow at Mid America Motorplex http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/lick.gif

Well here she is with some ugly bodywork on it..

And the couple spare parts I got with it http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Wish me luck!

AWESOME BIKE!!!!
i like my dunlops. i have d208 GP's thought http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif i love them actually. im not to fond of their
street tires

theres nothing wrong wtih a dent.
if you dont plan on crashing, dont plan on doing very good because your not going to push yourself to your limits.

but then again that is a pretty dent http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Ha! you should see the tank for my '98! It is beat to hell http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I got the bike under market value since I got it from a buddy-I got the bike with vortex covers, lines, cfm rearsets, race subrame and stock subframe, 2 used uppers, 2 used lowers, 1 used tail, and one full set of AK's new. The bike has a clean title and only 1,800 miles! All that for 3k! http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/banana.gif

sweet mang!! are you going to start racing or what? I have a feeling you will be able to turn faster laps on your first weekend on the new bike than on your 98....

I hope to-I plan on just doing a ton of trackdays and hopefully some racing next year. I am just not having much fun on the street and wanted a competitive bike for the track. I can't wait for my next trackday after I get the bike set up better for me!

Hey whats up! You left at the perfect time, cause we went out right after you left and found that one of the cars decided to dump oil starting after turn 3, all the way to where you exit the track-one of our guys found the oil by crashing in the first chicane, luckily on the warm up lap so it was very minor http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I def. like the bike, I need to put real brake pads in her, and get the suspension sorted, but I know I will be picking up a lot of time on her. I was pissed though that our day was over at 3 instead of 5, so we missed out on a bunch of track time-I had been conserving my tires cause my left sides were pretty thin from heartland, and t5 burns them up even worse-but then I conserved for nothing..oh well, I will get a ton of time on it next year-and you will def have to check out heartland and some of the other tracks around here-you know with actual elevation changes! http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/idea.gif
