So I'll go through the story first...I have a 2003 750 with 28,00 klm's on it...I went to a local shop to have the sprockets changed and brakes bleed out, when I bought the bike the guy had -2 and +4 sprockets with a 525 chain....so I put the sprockets back to -1 in the front and stock in the rear, the guy had to take a few links out of the chain to make sure it wasn't too loose....I have ridden the bike twice since then, both times the gears lock up....the first time I was in 6th and it wouldn't downshit, I stopped and had to pl ay with the shifter, and got it back to working order for the rest of the night, then the second time it locked and I could only use 2nd and 3rd gears, and by lock I mean it won't shift....the clutch works fine, cuts the engine off etc....so I have an appointment in two days for the same shop to look at it, I am also going to call the local Suzuki dealer on Monday to see when they can get me in.....
I have searched the forums and have read up on the detent star (shift star) which is a common problem, and also the possibility of a bent fork etc....I was looking at my bike today and noticed that the shifter seems to be rubbing against a bolt that looks like it has popped out? I have attached some pics of this, I couldn't find a picture of a normal shifter so I thought I would post and see what people think, is it possible the garage fucked the shifter up when they put it back on after changing the sprockets (they put my gears in revese shifting pattern, GP, because they didn't know any better), anyways, have a look and please let me know, I need to get the bike running good as soon as possible.....sorry if I posted this in the wrong place, I looked and thought this was the most appropriate....I would appreciate any help I could get, thanks.
