so I'm cruising on my daily joyride in the evening and happen across 3 big rigs r-e-a-l-l-y moving along.. in an obvious draft at a good 90mph+-.. I made a few lane changes obvious to the last driver so he knew I was back there and I was friendly... then sat back in the HUGE hole in the sky they were punching..

Miles later, when it was time for me to pull off and go back the other way, I felt goofy about it, but wanted to say thanks to the last guy for not freaking out and getting brake happy.. so I passed to get off, gave dude a thumbs up ..and then for whatever reason mimed wind over my helmet like ' thanks for the draft'.. wtf.. i felt squidly after..

beside the obvious humorous hand signals, how do you communicate with a cage driver? if everyone is loose with the bird, then why not something positive?

Not squidly at all - being courteous to cagers and truckers helps us all - they might return the courtesy to some other rider later :thumbup

I always wave or give :thumbup when someone shows regard for me in traffic, for example when a car pulls right on smaller roads so I can pass him more safely. Doesn't cost you anything :)
