I believe I am up around 4k-5k.

Edited - I am at 5800 with my speedo saying 77mph. That is 70mph GPS.

My bike may be having an issue then cause I'm usually in 2nd gear when I hit 70.......Could this be a warranty issue?

6th gear....what's that for?

keep the bike around 6-8k or you might as well have bought a scooter

it shud be around 6k...and 6th gear is for people who actually want there bike to last and dont ride around at 10k so the exhaust sounds louder

Take if from those in the know and Cestode is most definitely in the know.

If you need me to break it down Cestode would be Yoda in the gixxer world.

10K???? You'll blow your motor with that kind of rpm!!!! Even 7K is too much for these bikes. You should be shifting no later than 4K. That lugging sound you hear is good for the bike and should be done as much as possible.

Loud sounding exhaust problem???? Just shove some rags in the pipe so it quiets down and doesn't disturb anyone, especially those on their cell phones and the blind drivers.
