your size has nothing to do with the size of the bike, you should think about your skill level, since you are just starting you should go with the 600, also take into consideration the layout of the tracks you'll be racing at, if they are wide open then a 100 would be ok, but if they are technical or tight a 100 will do nothing but slow you down or even put you in a bad situation easier than a 600. now about a school, you should talk to the wiz, from wizard racing he is an instructor at one of the schools down in FL and they are at Jennings. good luck

Novices can't race anything a 1k 4 cylinder in WERA. Size doesn't determine your bike size, your skills do. A friend of mine races a Duc 750SS in the Clubman class, he's 6'1" and 265 and does pretty damn good. Depends on what bike you want, try a SV if it's your first time racing. Jennings GP offers track schools as well as Ed Bargy.

you could race a 1k if you wanted in ccs. not sure why fever is trying to get you to race on a 100, that would be way too small. lol seriously though. im 6' and 200lbs and i am competetive on a 600. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I went to the races this week-end and got the itch to try it. I just cant seem to find the guts to get out there on a gixxer. I was thinking of strating out on the cb160 classics. Been riding for more than 20 years and every year I just get older, I fugured I better start somewhere or I'll get to old.
