i just bought an 03 gsxr 600 body with a 02 1000 motor, and while driving it from the sale it started a loud tapping noise in the cylinder head about 30 miles into the trip, the oil light comes on at idle and when you rev it up it goes out but the tapping is still evident, anyone know the problem

Just curious, is the engine still operational ?

have you checked the oil? did the guy you buy it from change the oil before you got it? any idea on what all has been done to it other than the engine swap, how long has that engine been in the frame?

im kinda wondering just how good of a job the seller did on that swap and where he got hte parts.
