search the threads. Also google. Sportrider magazine and a myriad of other mags have good articles and videos about how to ride properly. But in the end you will wind up with your own style, unique from the rest.

Or all of your riding buddies end up with a body position that looks like yours because they think yours looks the coolest lol :biggrin

FYI you don't need to worry about body position just yet.... keep these 3 things in mind next time you go up:

1) DO NOT gun it on the straights.... I've seen countless new guys try to play catch up on the straights and end up going into turns too hot and eat shit.

2) Learn to stay relaxed especially your upper body and head.

3) Wear proper gear, your chances of eating it as a newb is very high on canyons. They're usually nothing serious from what I've seen but even a 10mph crash into the dirt will hurt like hell if you're in a t-shirt.

And if you want a nice group to ride with, join www.socalasianriders.com and check the calender for our rides. I see that you're in the 626 area code so you should be within the area.

yeah, azusa canyon is right down the street from me. i used to go there in my car before. but not so much anymore(tires, gas, brakes, is a bitch). you from the area too? my friend gunned it down the straight and ALMOST ate shit, so i learned that the first day. haha. i tried that whole kiss the mirror thing, seems easier to corner than with my upper body upright....

I ride Asuza/GMR most of the time, I'm in Walnut so I'm only about 15 minutes away. Join that group I linked.... we're mostly in the 626 area and we do a lot of group rides on Asuza, ACH, and occasionally they have OC iron-butt rides. Skill level ranges from extremely newbs to racers so its very diverse.
