I have a noise that just appeared on my 2005 gsxr 1000. It is a higher pitch buzzing sound coming from somewhere under my fuel tank. I took it into the shop and they said its my fuel tank venting. I dont believe them. It sounds electrical and it only buzzes when the bike is running. If I shut the bike off it immediately stops the buzzing sound. I dont know if its my fuel pump or what. There is no change in performance, i just am concerned with the sound. I have 30,000 miles on my bike. anyone have any thoughts.

So as soon as you turn the key on, the buzzing starts, or as soon as you "start" the bike?

Also, has it ever done it with the bike off, or key off?

Venting will make a squeel type of sound, but typicaly it will stop if you pop your tank to let the pressure out.

The fuel pump also buzzes. This is normal when the bike is in neutral and the kill switch is set to on, key on also. Mine makes this noise, some are more noticeable then others.
